Dr. Southers joined Alex Cohen on “Inside the Issues” to discuss what the FBI’s search of former president Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate means for local law enforcement and national security. With regard to the heated political rhetoric that followed, as well as attacks on Bureau offices and rising antigovernment sentiment, Dr. Southers said in part: “It is a very scary time for agents. It is a very serious time to understand whether these are isolated incidents that may have some outliers or is this a movement? Unfortunately, it is becoming a movement.”
